Easy on the eyes and the environment…

This naturally rot resistant 4′ cedar bench is the perfect solution for eco-concious homeowners or gardeners that either do not have downspouts or want to collect and use rainwater in a highly visible area.

  • Stores as much water as a standard rain barrel (60 gal)
  • Collects either via the cap or the bottom inlet (or both)
  • Room for a pump and hose in hidden compartment inside
  • Also doubles as a dry storage bench when not holding water

Hinged cap opens to reveal liner and fittings

When it rains,

about 90%+ of the rain that falls on this bench cap will be diverted through a filter and into the sealed bladder inside.

We do still recommend that you connect the bottom fitting to your downspout diverter, since it would take over 10″ of rain to fill this bench with the cap alone.

Your roof, however, will probably fill this bench and 3 more in a 1/2″ rainfall.

Lucky for you, your bench doesn’t need to be anywhere near your downspout.  (see our blog about bottom-filling a rainbench)

Included in this Cedar Rain Bench kit are:

– All cedar side panels, cap and ply base.  Some assembly required.

– Internal 2-ply, 4 mil liner with all necessary garden hose adapters

– All fasteners necessary to assemble according to detailed instructions (also included).   The only tool you should need is a cordless screwdriver.

– Owners’ Manual for your Rain Bench.  It’s pretty simple.

Works as a great general storage bench in winter or when not used for rainwater.  So go ahead, have a seat — and save some water.
